Rally Engineering is actively recruiting Project Engineers, Professional Engineers and Designers to join our Project Engineering teams.

Current projects are related to development of energy projects (Refinery, Oil Sands, SAGD, Coal, Power Distribution and Materials Handling).

1. DOCUMENT CONTROL TECHNICIAN - SENIOR

Role Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Technical Document Control (TDC) Manager, you are responsible for:

  • Preparing and issuing document transmittals to external clients
  • Managing and facilitating internal and external reviews of Rally produced and vendor supplied documents
  • Distributing incoming client information and client approvals
  • Maintaining Document Control database, logging all documents both issued and received
  • Creating and maintaining active project files in hard copy and electronic format
  • Coordinating with client contacts regarding documentation issues
  • Inter departmental and client relations
  • Other related tasks as required


Competencies / Experience Requirements:

  • 8+ years related experience (previous vendor and / or engineering company experience in the oil and gas industry preferred)
  • Knowledge of engineering practices, such as vendor document reviews and the issuing of construction work packages
  • An understanding of engineering stamping and permit requirements is important
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is an asset
  • Experience documenting departmental policies and procedures
  • Ability to comprehend and summarize client document standards and procedures
  • Motivated, self-starter with ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Good interpersonal skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Inter-departmental and client relations
  • Other related tasks as required


Competencies / Experience Requirements:

  • 4 - 6 years related experience (previous vendor and / or engineering company experience in the oil and gas industry preferred)
  • Knowledge of engineering practices, such as vendor document reviews and the issuing of construction work packages
  • An understanding of engineering stamping and permit requirements is important
