Project Manager/Engineer

Len has 22 years of progressive and responsible engineering and project management experience and is currently president of Rally Engineering. He graduated from University of Alberta in 1987 with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering. He is experienced in engineering, procurement and construction of petrochemical, oil and gas, refinery, cogeneration power, industrial chemicals, tar sand extraction and mining projects.

Early in his career Len functioned as a mechanical engineering lead for larger projects; AT Plastics 5R project ($120M), Shell MEG Plant ($375) and Petro-Canada Tank Farm ($80M) where he gained experience designing, specifying, controlling complex mechanical/piping designs for process/utility units.

Later, because of his people skills and leadership abilities he moved into Project Engineering and Management, some of which included EPCOR Genesee 3 Plant ($700 M); AlbianSands Closed Loop Cooling Water Project ($130 M); Petro-Canada’s FCCU Modification ($16M) Projects and more recently Sherritt Technologies’ Coal Research Centre of Excellence.
