Rally was tasked with revisiting the Client’s engineering specifications under these guidelines:
• Update cross-references to the latest relevant industry specifications (e.g., API, ASME, CSA, CISC).
• Verify compliance with relevant Canadian safety acts, codes and regulations.
• Ensure that the specifications are broad enough to be used across a range of facilities (e.g., refineries, upgraders, chemical plants).
• Edit specs as required for conciseness, structure, readability, and usefulness to end users.
The SMEs held virtual sessions to discuss and optimize proposed changes. Rally’s project management group tracked the developments and stewarded several dozen specifications towards completion.
Over the course of 18 months, Rally successfully reviewed, discussed, updated, authenticated, and issued 81 engineering specifications for the Client’s use.
