Scope of Work

Structural and mechanical engineering services in support of the pedestal reconstruction work. Rally also became engaged in the planning of all aspects of the fast-tracked engineering, procurement, and construction management.

Deliverables

Construction work package (CWP) with detailed instructions for the following:

• Installation of a temporary support structure to allow demolition of the dissolver tank pedestal.

• Installation of a stainless structural steel space frame to replace the original concrete pedestal.

• Installation of a concrete slab to restore the floor.

To minimize the impact to ongoing operations, the tank foundation reconstruction work was planned for and executed during a regular seven-day plant maintenance outage. The work was completed ahead of schedule and at a cost below the AFE estimate.
