Scope of Work

Rally worked with the client to optimize the design parameters for the new tank. Live piping adjacent to the original tank was relocated to a new valve station outside of the tank berm. The old tank was demolished, with measures taken for lead paint and asbestos insulation abatement. The site was excavated and a clay containment liner put in before constructing a new granular tank foundation. The new tank was erected onsite with upgraded piping, electrical, and instrument connections. The surrounding tank cell berms were modified to improve spill containment and vehicular access. The finished surface of the tank cell was regraded towards a new drainage sump to manage rain and snow melt.

Deliverables

Rally delivered all phases of engineering work, from initial scoping to construction support. Rally’s FEED report, 3D modeling, detailed engineering services, EPC schedules, and TIC estimates helped the Client manage the project development process.

Construction work packages (CWPs) were delivered for tank demolition, new tank completions, piping modifications, earthworks, concrete, piling, grouting, structural steel, electrical, and instrumentation work.

Material requisitions (MRs) were produced to enable the purchase of the new API 650 tank, stairs, and rooftop platform; miscellaneous piping specialty items; tank cathodic protection system; plus tank instrumentation.
